Cause of Death: Complications related to diabetes
Mark was born January 10, 1954 in Van Nuys, California to Eugene and Mary (Boyd) Bielefeld and brother to Gregory Bielefeld. He married Sharlene May(-Day) Rasmussen on September 22, 1973 in Auburn, Washington. He graduated from Tahoma Senior High School in 1972 and served on the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant driving truck from 1973-1977. Mark was a professional truck driver for 33 years.
Mark and Sharlene bought their first home in Hobart, Washington in 1977 and lived there for the next 43 years. Family was everything to Mark. He was a loving, caring husband and devoted daddy who spent the majority of his time with his wife and daughters, playing, teasing, giving unconditional love and guidance. In Hobart, Mark and his family were surrounded by beautiful pastures, trees and foothills; and were neighbors to cows, coyotes, eagles, Canadian geese and elk that ate many of their apples and plums.
Mark was a gentleman who would open doors for a "Ma'am" or "Sir" of any age. He could disarm and bring a smile to most anyone who was guarded or stressed. Mark loved to tease and play practical jokes, often calling out "Security!" at the grocery store in order to bring attention to his friend and get them in fake "trouble".
Mark is survived by his wife, Sharlene Bielefeld; children, Amie Bielefeld, Heather (Ben) McGuire, Anna (Josh) Brown; his grandchildren, Katrielle McGuire, Alaiah McGuire, Brooklynn Brown, Gabriel McGuire, Adréhyn Brown and Kyah Brown; his brother, Gregory (Toni) Bielefeld; by three nieces and four nephews and nine great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Mary (Boyd) Bielefeld.
Mark's memorial service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00AM at Generational Hope Christian Center in Maple Valley, WA. Pastor Justin Garland will be officiating the service. Mark's final resting place will be at Tahoma National Cemetery.
Sharlene and family want to say how grateful they are for all of the love, support and prayers received during this time of grieving and remembrance. They also want to thank all of the compassionate doctors and nurses that took great care of Mark during his final weeks. Thank you for attending/streaming Mark's memorial service and sharing your thoughts and memories of him.
