Loren is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dorothy M. Caddy (Mitchell); his x- wife Shirley Irene Corder, mother of his children, preceded him in death in 2014; one son, Thomas Brian Caddy and his wife, Jean of Bremerton, WA; one daughter Wanda Colleen Raney (Caddy) of Wood Village, OR; an adopted daughter, Maria Caddy; his sister Beverly Helmage(Caddy) and her husband, Joe of Portland, OR, 4 grandchildren; one grandchild, Craig Kraemer, preceded him in death; 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a whole gaggle of nieces and nephews both by blood and by love.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Richard G. Caddy (Sep. 3, 1992) and a younger brother Robert D. Caddy (Aug. 23, 2022)
Loren served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War (conflict) rising to the rank of staff sergeant.
Loren became a Multnomah County, OR police officer in June of 1962 and retired in December of 1992.
He led a long and very eventful life. He and his younger brother, Robert, once owned a Mayflower moving truck business and raised cattle under the name of Caddy’s Farm.
He was one of the favorite police officers on the show “COPS”.
Loren was a kind hearted and loving man. He will be missed by many.
