Leslie is survived by his children Deanna Anderson (Jeff), Leroy Brokaw (Debbie), Jean Lange (Bill) and Geri Malgarini. He will also be remembered by his 15 grandchildren; Amy Ewing, Chad Ewing, Kim Sheets, Wayne Brokaw, Kelly McRory, Scott Borman, Brandon Brokaw, Jason Brokaw, Heidi Petrin, Camerina Zorrozua, Zachary Zorrozua, Rachel Brokaw, Katie Patty, Carly Lange, Jamie Lange and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Geraldine, daughter Wilma, son-in-law Jeff Anderson, and great-granddaughter Delilah Patty.
Leslie served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the Destroyer Escort USS French. Toward the end of the war he married Geraldine, whom he had known all of his life. After the war, they lived on a ranch in Forbes, North Dakota. They later moved to Edgemont, South Dakota and opened up Gamble Hardware Store in 1955. In 1958, they left Edgemont and after several stops settled in Renton, Washington. Leslie went to work for Boeing as an Industrial Engineer and retired in 1987.
During his retirement, Leslie and Geraldine traveled through Europe and across the United States. They were active members of the Boeing Trailer Club and St. Anthony’s Parish. Leslie and Gerry loved spending time with their family and friends.
