John "Jack" Holmes Morrison passed away peacefully July 26th at the age of 91. Jack was an extraordinary musician, proud American and dedicated to his family. Drumming was in his soul from an early age and he started playing drums on street corners in Renton, WA while selling newspapers in the 1930's. He was the winner of the Washington State Snare Drum Championship Junior level 3 times and Senior Division 7 times. He then joined the 364th Army Service Band in 1946 & 1947. Jack never stopped playing and became a private tutor for promising students and did many gigs with different bands up till his late 80's but his Polka band was his favorite. He was a proud member of Auburn American Legion Post 78.
