“Our mother, Joann Thomas loved her family with all her being. She especially loved caring for her grandchildren. She was the greatest mother and grandmother a family could have. She loved watching her sports and soap operas, talking, and visiting with family. She truly was the backbone of the family and kept everyone well connected. Her love for life, family, and friends was untouched. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children, and grandchildren. Anyone who knew her, knew that she was a star in her eyes, and that’s all that ever mattered to her. We love and miss you mom.” Frankie, Carl, and Lovell
She is also survived by her two brothers Earl Green, 77, Freddie Green, 72 and three sisters Arnita Green, 74, Francis Vivolo, 72, and Jacalyn Green, 70. Joann was one of 12 siblings.
“Our sister was a quiet person. However, never step on her foot or take her lemon drops. You will then feel her dissatisfaction. She was a woman of few words, but her action spoke volumes. She embraced the role of being our second mother while growing up. Her motto could have been “I will show you my love better than I tell you.” That was our sister.”
May she rest now in the house of the lord and be at peace with her loving husband.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
John 11:25-26
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.' ”
The Lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and have mercy.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.
The Lord bless you!
