Jeffrey Keith Johnson, Jr., 35, passed away on February 13, 2020 in his home in Tukwila, Washington. He was born on March 26, 1984, at Group Health Hospital to Jeffrey K. Johnson, Sr. and Nina Johnson.
Jeffrey was a very sweet, kind and loving child. He loved the outdoors, especially family camping trips and inner tubing. He enjoyed sports, played soccer, basketball, and most of all, football and the Seattle Seahawks. (GO HAWKS!)
He attended elementary school at St. Paul and Emerson, middle school at South Shore, NOMS and Kent Jr. High. He graduated from Kent Meridian High School in 2003, where he developed a passion for woodworking. A supportive teacher facilitated an internship with The Boeing Company, which illuminated the path to his career as a Carpenter. He graduated in 2005 from the Carpentry Program at Green River College where he and his classmates actually built an entire house.
Later, Jeff worked with other skilled carpenters at Dowbuilt building and remodeling high-end homes. He developed his craft and had an exceptional eye for details, which afforded him the opportunity to travel to Kona, Hawaii, as part of the construction team assigned to build a fabulous luxury home. Eventually, he started his own business called JJ’s Craft.
In his personal life, Jr. was a Christian, baptized and added to the Church of Christ in 1996. As a member of Southside, he formed many strong relationships through his participation in the youth group. He also attended several National Youth Conferences held in various locations across the United States.
Jr cared deeply about others. He was giving and generous. He was helpful and well respected. He had a quiet nature and a great laugh. His smile radiated in his eyes. He brought people joy. He was an encourager. He was honest. Jr. was a loyal son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed.
