IN THE CARE OF

Greenwood Memorial Park & Funeral Home

James Ivar McCulloch was born on October 11, 1949 in Seattle Washington and died March 6, 2020 from Alzheimer’s complications.

Parents: Francis Leroy McCulloch and Minnie Jane Close

He was the 6th of seven children.

He lived his whole life in Seattle, attended Cleveland High School and briefly worked at Boeing before entering the Electrical Apprentice program. He was a member of IBEW Local 46 for over 50 years. He worked construction until 1989 when he went to work at the Washington State Convention Center. He became the Head Electrician until he retired at age 62.

He loved the outdoors. His family fished, camped and hiked to pick fresh huckleberries. He was a scratch bowler and taught bowling to young people. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed doing puzzles and games. He loved all sorts of music and would easily burst out in song.

Family was Jamie’s priority. He loved to host family gatherings, BBQ’s in the summer, Christmas celebrations (he loved his rum balls!), birthday parties, July 4th parties, etc.

Cherie and Jamie loved to travel. Most recently they traveled with Casinos Express Tours visiting various cities around the country.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Duane and Thomas and sisters, Hazel and Ella.

Survived by his wife of 52 years Cherie, his son Aaron and wife Irish, granddaughter Marie, sisters Sarah and Karen, and many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his caring heart, easy smile and helpful attitude.
