Floyd Ray Johnson

Floyd was the Son to the late Eldridge Turner and Lula Mae Johnson of Monahans, Texas.

Floyd accepted the Lord at an early age, Mt Zion Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas. Floyd was a member of Center of Faith Curch of God In Christ. Pasror, Supt.Wilbur D Vincent, Kent, WA. Floyd loved attending Church and listening to his Pastor preach and teach the Word of God. His Favorite Scripture was Psalm 91.

Floyd was active in the community. He helped serve the homeless and volunteered his help at the Blue House in Kent, WA.

Floyd retired from the Boeing Company after 12 years. He worked in AOG’s, Shipping & Receiving, Auburn, WA.

Floyd graduated from Monahans High School, Monahans, TX. He participated in Basketball and received trophies. He participated in Track Events and received a plaque which is displayed in the School Exhibition Hall for 50-Yard Dash. He played the Cornet in the High School Band. Floyd attended Santa Ana College, Santa Ana, CA in Communications. He attended Columbia Basin College, Pasco, WA in Auto Body Repair Technology.

Floyd’s family members preceded him in death: Two Sisters: Cora Edna Hairston and Shirley Lee Lane. Two Brothers: Melvin Lee Johnson and Freeman Lee Johnson. One Niece, Shanis Hairston and One Brother-In-Law , Willie B Lane Sr.

Floyd leaves to cherish his memory: One Beautiful Daughter, Leta Marlene Johnson, Federal Way, WA. Two Sisters: Evangelist Hazel (Elder James) Lofton, Tacoma, WA; Pearly Washington, Lakewood, WA. Two Brothers: Elbert Johnson, Fayetteville, GA; Herbert Johnson, Houston, TX. Nieces: Angela (David) Hamilton, FT Worth, TX; Kimberly (Isaac) Cole, Kent, WA; Rena Kelly, Tacoma,WA; Alisa (Frank) Gans, Houston, TX; Jennifer (George Byas). San Diego, CA; Renay Johnson, San Diego, CA; Deborah (Daniel) Johnson, Fayetteville, GA. Nephews: Shelby Washington Jr, Lakewood, WA: Freeman Lee Johnson Jr, Covington, WA; Willie Jr and Travis Lane, Santa Ana, CA; Julian Johnson, San Diego, CA and David Johnson, Gulfport, MS.
