Ed graduated from Eldorado Springs, Missouri High School, class of 1960. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri in 1964. Ed married Deloris Wade at Clinton, Missouri. After his graduation from college, they settled in Renton, Washington, where he worked for The Boeing Corporation in Manufacturing Engineering until he retired in 1999. Ed and Deloris would have celebrated 58 years of marriage the week following his death.
In addition to enjoying his career at Boeing, Ed loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, salmon fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends in the outdoors and was always being willing to help out his neighbors with projects.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, James Woods, and Lester Woods.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Deloris Woods, of Renton, Washington is his daughter, Pamela Woods Hallock, and husband Ken; sister Mary McMichael; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held with immediate family.
