Carmen was raised in Hamilton, Washington, where she attended elementary school. She graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1955, then moved to Seattle where she worked for Bell Telephone. She soon met her future husband, Evan Dean Allstrom and they married on April 25, 1959. Carmen continued working at the telephone company until she became the office manager of her and Dean’s company, Art Brass Plating.
A longtime resident of Seattle and Burien, she also enjoyed spending time at her condo in Cathedral City, California, where she had many friends.
Carmen was an active member of the Children’s Orthopedic Guild, and a founding member of Olympic Classic Thunderbird Club.
Carmen was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, her parents, and her sisters, Nickie Moss Morris, and Lorraine McKinney. She is survived by her five nieces, Pam Gray, Sandra McCoy (Bob), Juanita Cheyne (Sam), Sherry Schuler (Greg), and Polly Sinclair (Mark), her cousin Barbara Oyler, and godchildren Carrie Rae Bratlie (Craig Peterson), and Scot Rombough (Carey).
Services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home in Renton, Washington on Wednesday, June 21 at 11:30, and a graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Park at noon.
