Gloria L. (Kissinger) Kilakis, 81, of Reading, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late George A. Kilakis whom passed away August 5, 1981.
Born in Reading on October 30, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie (Ernst) Kissinger.
Gloria was employed with the former Landy Towel and Linen Service, Inc., Reading Hospital Centran Department, Reading Motor Inn and lastly, Berk’s Heim as a Nurse’s Aide.
She was a Den Mother of the Boy Scouts, loved Western movies, stuffed animals, watching the Food Network and cooking shows and loved to go for Sunday drives with her family.
Surviving are two children, David A. Kilakis and his wife, Diane K. of west Lawn and Daena L. Hostetter and her companion, Bertram F. Root of Denver, PA; two grandchildren, David A. Kilakis, Jr and Tiffany M. Kilakis; four great grandchildren, Demitri, Yasmin, Gavin and Ryleigh Kilakis and two sisters, Viola Coleman and Beatrice Schenk.
She is predeceased by her parents; her Husband, George; a son, Daniel K. Kilakis and seven siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Dr., Ste. 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
