She was the loving wife of James L. Peiffer Jr. Born in Harrisburg on May 15, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Jane E. (Wilson) Kintzer.
She would always begin each day with her Lord in the reading of His word and in prayer. She also immensely enjoyed her bible studies together with her husband and with the Lord in prayer. She also enjoyed singing together with her husband in exalting the Lord in songs from their hymnal. The highlight of her week was always to be together with her husband and in the fellowship of other believers in the House of God.
Over the years, she has been thankful to the Lord for the blessings of the children, grandchildren and most recently, her twin great-granddaughters, whom she recently met a few weeks ago. She was always thankful for the many years that her and her husband could travel together in observing many places of God's creation.
While at home, she always enjoyed preparing meals for her husband and others who would visit with them. One of the things she really enjoyed, not only in her home but outside in the yard as well, were her plants and flowers that she took pleasure in each year. She enjoyed plants and flowers and observing the birds from her kitchen window or when she was sitting on the swing with her husband that their son had bought for them several years ago.
In addition to her beloved husband, James L. Peiffer Jr., who were married on October 23, 1963, Betty is also survived by a son, David A. Peiffer, and his wife, Pamela L., of Pottstown; two daughters, Kathaleen L. (Peiffer) Worthing and her husband, Mark, of Australia, and Michelle L. (Peiffer) Jumper, of Middletown; eleven grandchildren: Geoffrey, Chelsea, Caelim, Melissa, Joshua, Desiree, Jonathan, Sarah, Jordan, Brianna and Nathan; twin great-granddaughters, Jailyn and Jenna; and a brother, Richard L. Kintzer, of Danville, Calif.
She is predeceased by a son, James E. Peiffer, and grandson, Cedric Worthing.
