Roy Joseph Ziegler

It is with great sadness the family of Roy announce his passing in the early morning hours of Tuesday. December 22, 2020 in Regina, SK. Roy was born in Odessa, SK to parents Sebasitian and Frances (Schnieder) Ziegler. Roy is predeceased by his parents; step father Lorenz Schnieder; brothers Lloyd, and Ralph; brothers in law Adam Gorski, and Alex Kattler; and niece Deanna Sietz. Roy will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Irene Kattler and his legal guardian Mary Anne Solie (Chuck); sisters in law Darlene Ziegler and Carol Cumming (Charles); special god son Adam Fletcher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Roy left home at an early age to attend school in Regina at the Harrow de Groot School to further his education and working skills. Roy enjoyed playing his accordion and spent many hours taping and listening to his favorite polkas and country music. Roy enjoyed helping people and volunteered his help at the Wascana Hospital pushing wheel chairs and helping where ever he was needed. After the passing of his step father he enjoyed many years at Pioneer Village before moving to his final residence at Parkside Extendicare. Due to Covid – 19 restrictions there will be a private family service held at a later date.
