Peter Kenneth Hanas

September 15, 1950 – September 26, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Peter, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a 4 year battle with cancer. Peter loved spending time out at the cottage with friends and family, playing his guitar around the fire pit. He was very creative, always building things and had a passion for fireworks. He had a love for classic cars which led to him starting his business, Auto Connection, which was his pride and joy for 34 years. He was predeceased by his father Pete; mother Nettie; brother Leo; father-in-law Frank; brothers-in-law Bill Derkach and Ed Karpinski; and sister-in-law Leona Hanas.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bev; children Trina, Trent, and Tammy; two grandchildren Emily and Holden; his mother-in-law Elsie Zulyniak; sisters Sonia Derkach and Gloria Karpinski; brothers-in-law Brad Zulyniak (Pat), Brian Zulyniak (Cheryl), and Randy Zulyniak (Lori); and many nieces and nephews. Peter will always be remembered as the life of the party.

The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team at the Pasqua Hospital, for taking such good care of Peter. Flowers are gratefully declined. If those so desire, memorial tributes can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A Celebration of Life will be held October 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home. 2080 Victoria Avenue E, Regina, SK.
