Olive June Antosh (nee Smith) died on Thursday morning, March 5, 2015 at the Poseidon Care Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Olive June Antosh was born near Armley, Saskatchewan on April 30, 1928. June was the eldest child of Ralph and May Smith (nee Nicklen). As the eldest of eleven children, June quickly learned the value of hard work and responsibility and these were traits that she demonstrated through her entire life. In 1954 June met Nicholas Antosh and they were married in 1955 in The Pas, Manitoba. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba to attend Winnipeg Bible College. After completion of religious studies, they began pastoral work at the St. Vital Alliance Church in Winnipeg. In 1963 they moved to Regina where they lived for many years. June also lived with her daughter and grandson in the United States for about twenty years where her daughter served as a physician. After her daughter’s death, June moved back to Canada and settled in Winnipeg Manitoba where one of her sisters lived. June was predeceased by her father Ralph Leslie Smith, her mother Olive May Smith (Nicklen), her daughter Darlene May Antosh and by her sisters Florence Dous and Violet Wittenberg. June was survived by her husband Nicholas Antosh, and is survived by her son Gerald (Susan) Antosh, their children Teresa and Rebecca Antosh and by her grandson Brendan Antosh. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Roy (Betty) Smith, Ruth (Frank) Vust, Paul (Daisy) Smith, Mary (Jim) Reader, Matthew Smith, Martha (Bud) Grusing, John (Bev) Smith, Jim Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
