Muriel Lena Ayotte (nee Nyhus), late of Regina, SK, passed away August 10, 2022 at the age of 91.
Muriel was predeceased by her parents, Hjalmer and Evelyn Nyhus; husband Willis Ayotte; brothers Walter, Harold, and Clayton Nyhus; and sisters Annetta Lillejord, Doris McKenzie, Ella Tourscher and Jean Hlavka.
Muriel is survived by her daughter Eunice Gowler; sister Reta Szakacs; brothers Leonard Nyhus and Wilfred Nyhus; brothers-in-law Paul Hlavka and Rudy Szakacs; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Muriel was born on November 15, 1930 in Ceylon, SK. She was raised in the community of Ceylon. She, Willis and Eunice moved to Langley, BC on December 27, 1967 and lived there until April 2022 when she and Eunice moved back to Saskatchewan. The move allowed her the opportunity to see her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and also gave her peace of mind, knowing that Eunice will have family to look after her.
Her interment will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Ceylon Cemetery.
