The family of Lynda Gamble are sad to announce her passing on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in Regina, SK. Lynda passed away surrounded by family. Lynda was predeceased by her parents Lloyd Gamble and Margaret Gamble (Bryson); her daughters Beatrice Maria Zwirsky and Michelle Miller (Zwirsky). Lynda is survived by her spouse Art Staruiala; her children David Zwirsky (Tracey Boa), Steven Zwirsky (Nikki), and Nicole Ottenbreit (Chad), Adam Staruiala (Jessica), and Sarah Staruiala; her grandchildren Jeffrey Zwirsky, Daysha Zwirsky, Alyssa Zwirsky, Savanna Smythe-Mcarthur, Haedon Zwirsky, Memphis Ottenbreit, and Kenzie Ottenbreit; and great-grandchild Ilah Zwirsky; brother Richard Gamble (Tammie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lynda was born in Saskatoon and moved to Swift Current in grade 2. She moved to Regina after graduating high school to start university. Lynda was known as a talented musician and crafter. She began to play piano at an early age and continued to play piano throughout her life, as well as picking up a few more instruments along the way. Lynda worked for numerous years at One Stop Organ Shop as a piano teacher and bookkeeper before moving on to her career at SaskPower. While working at SaskPower, Lynda played piano for the SaskPower Singers for 23 years. She also accompanied many choirs throughout her life.
In 2012, Lynda graduated from the University of Regina earning an Executive Master of Business Administration. She retired from SaskPower in 2016 and turned her crochet hobby into a small business, Gone Craftin’. Lynda loved music and crafting but her love for her family was greater. Lynda’s greatest pride and joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. For the past 28 years, Lynda and her spouse Art, shared their lives building a home, raising a family, being involved in their children’s lives and travelling. Her generous heart also extended to all her friendships which she cherished and held dear.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East. A viewing will be held at 1:30 pm with service to follow at 2:00 pm. There will be coffee and cake following the service. Lynda’s ashes will be interred in a private family gathering.
