He was predeceased by his mother and father, Tom and Nell (nee Logan) Forster; brothers Pat and Leonard Forster; mother-in-law and father-in-law Bill and Louise Pringle; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Charlie and Ina Jordan, Jack and Jean White and Audrey Forster.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Meryl (nee Pringle) Forster; daughter Cathy Forster and her children Isobel and Julian Turonis; daughter Carole Forster Ichikawa (Takayuki); in-laws Emelie Forster, Tom and Myrna Pringle and John and Gaye Pringle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Kenneth had many passions in life including horses, dogs, hunting, teaching, gardening, singing and playing instruments, but above all else, his passion was his family. Meryl and Ken made countless friends on their adventures, far and wide. Ken was a teacher, later a principal, and retired in 1997. He was also an on track race caller for 28 years at Queensbury Downs Race Track in Regina, SK, later becoming a Harness Track Presiding Judge in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Ken had a fantastic life. He lived it to the fullest. He always had a joke to tell or a song to sing. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who was lucky enough to meet him.
At Ken’s request there will be no service. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
