Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Murray (Edwards), and sister Betty Stevenson. Joyce is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gordon; her daughters Pamela Di Iorio (Maurizio) and their daughters Breanna and Ariana; Cindy Schaffer (Michael) and their children Sasha (Kayos) and Taggert; son Gregory Forrest (Dana) and their children Samantha, Vanessa, and Thomas; and sister Dorothy and brother James.
Joyce was born in Melfort and was raised on the family farm in Pathlow. She attended school in Pathlow and St. Brieux. Joyce worked for the Royal Bank for over 35 years starting as a teller, a cheque processor, and then later as computer operator at the Data Processing Center prior to retirement in 2008. After Joyce and Gordon were married, they moved to the Yukon where Gordon taught in Clinton Creek. The family then settled in Regina where Joyce and Gordon raised their children. Joyce enjoyed traveling in the RV across Canada and the USA with many visits to Graceland. Joyce was an lifelong fan of Elvis Presley. As Joyce’s health declined in later years, they spent time at their cabin at Good Spirit Lake and looked forward to their visits with their grandchildren. A Funeral Service Celebrating the Life of Joyce will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2080 Victoria Ave. E., Regina. For those unavailable to attend the Service a link will be available on Joyce's Funeral Home Memorial site. Interment will follow the Service at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. After the Interment a reception will be held at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
