John Senger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great grandfather, and, recently, great, great grandfather and friend, John William Senger. He was born and raised in Southey.

John was predeceased by his wife, our mother, Minnie on December 25, 2013. He just seemed to give up after her passing. Dad was also predeceased by his father William and mother Pauline, brothers Philip and Otto, and sisters Martha and Edna.

Dad is survived by his three children, Judy (Wayne) Solie, Terry (Jean), and Sharon (Ken) Nameth, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great, great grandson and two sisters-in-law Betty and Agatha.

Dad was a jack of all trades. He could make any motor, gas or diesel, sing. Dad had probably supervised the construction of most of the roads in the Earl Grey, Southey, Markinch and Cupar areas. He also oversaw the paving of the streets of Southey, a job he was proud of and rightfully so.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm next to our dear mother in Southey.
