John passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife Caroline; parents Stephen and Katharina; and daughter Shannon Robertson. John is survived and will be dearly remembered by his children and grandchildren: Brad, Amanda and Travis, son-in-law Tony Robertson, Victoria and Phillip, and Laura Wittig, Katie and Skyler; sister Regina Hird; brother Fred (Evelyn); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was born in Raymore, SK and farmed at Frankslake. He farmed and worked at Shaw Pipe for 37 years. John was also an accomplished musician, he played the accordion, violin, banjo and guitar. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. John will be laid to rest alongside his wife Caroline in a private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation in John’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301-2550-12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1 or a charity of choice.
