Irene Mary Obuck

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Irene Obuck (nee Pankiw) on October 24, 2020. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family, and will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts. Irene was predeceased by her sons, Brent and Tom, and by her husband Roman. She is survived by her daughter Kim; by her sister Millie Pelkey; by her nieces and nephews: Ron Pelkey, Sharon Fox, Nancy Pelkey, Bob Pelkey and their families; by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Jeanette Obuck; and by many cherished friends. Irene was a loving and devoted mother to Kim, Tom and Brent as well as a wonderful wife to Roman. Irene loved to spend time in her garden and turned her backyard into a peaceful oasis. She also created many art projects, wrote daily in her journals, and loved to travel. She spent a great deal of time lovingly caring for her daughter Kim. We have many memories of her kindness, great sense of humour, and devotion to her family. Given the current restrictions on public gatherings, a small family service will be held.
