The family lived on an acreage south of Rosetown for about a year. The death of 2 year old David in April 1959 was difficult for the family and soon after they moved in to Rosetown, staying for 3 years. Jennifer, born 1982, lived in Regina and liked to pack her suitcase for a visit to grandma and grandpa and they enjoyed her baton twirling and dancing performances. Four grandsons were born 1988-1996; there were lots of visits and theses active boys kept their grandparents on their toes. They loved them all. Harald and Clara enjoyed travel and did longer trips after retirement. They enjoyed visiting relatives in Norway and trips to England, Scotland, Germany, Australia, Oman, Israel and Egypt. Harald has always been sociable and interested in what people are doing. He was active at the Paul Schwann Centre and in the Scandinavian Society and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
