Daphne passed away peacefully in Regina on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at the age of 77 with her loving family by her side. Daphne was born on August 6, 1940 in Heart’s Delight, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, the only daughter to Jim and Hattie Legge. On August 17, 1963, Daphne married Clyde in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1965, Clyde and Daphne relocated their family to Regina as a result of Clyde’s job transfer. Many trips were made over the years for family to stay in touch, from going back east and eastern relatives coming out west for long and enjoyable get togethers. Daphne was an avid sports fan and loved attending Adam and Eric’s many sporting activities as well as Saskatchewan Roughrider games. Daphne lived an active life and especially enjoyed entertaining, playing cards, using her computer, gardening, cooking, swimming, skating, bowling and ballroom dancing. She took great pride in accomplishing many handmade projects including sewing, quilting and stained glass for all to enjoy. Daphne will be lovingly remembered by her wonderful, caring husband of 54 years, Clyde, her daughters Wendy (Glen) Despins, Gail (Wes), grandsons Adam and Eric Despins, brothers Jack and Paul and several relatives residing in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Alberta. As per Daphne’s request, no formal service will be held.
