It is with great sadness that we announce that Colleen Merle Pearce passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-seven on Saturday January 13th, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick, and Edyth; spouse Bob; sister Lynn and son Shane. She is survived by her daughters Susan and Sherri; son Randy (Kim); daughter- in-law Lesley; grandsons Ryan (Jennifer), Shawn (Jenn) and Matt; granddaughters Melissa (Justin) and Chelsea (Quinn); great grandsons Hudson & River; great granddaughters Lucy, Maddie, and Flora; her sister Sharon (Rudy) and her brother Vern; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Merle was born in Regina on July 1st, 1936. She was the oldest of four children to Patrick and Edyth (Budd) McCarthy. She worked at the Regina School Board for thirty plus years that included Summers working Summer School . She loved the Spring and Summer season where she would spend time in her yard gardening and on her deck enjoying a cold beverage. She was also known for occasionally feeding the gophers or any other small creatures that she would come across. She had a deep love for her family and cared deeply for us all. “Remember I Love you” a phrase we heard from her often! Merle loved all sports and was a season ticket holder for both the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Regina Pats for many years. She also enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays. She will be greatly missed …
We would like to pass on our thanks to the first class care she received from the nurses and staff at the Pasqua Hospital, College Park Retirement Residence and Palliative care at the Wascana Grace Hospice. The care you gave Mom was truly appreciated!
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
