On January 6, 2025 Chris Phillips of Regina, SK passed away at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife Bonnie; parents Vincent and Yvonne; brother Kevin and sister Ann; father in law Eion; brother in law Dwaine and sister in law Colleen and her family. He will be remembered by close friend Steven Cooper, who lived with Chris and was in Chris’ care.
Chris was born in Madras, South India. He went to school in Cricklade, England. He then moved to Cape Breton, N.S, in 1969 with his family and then to Dartmouth in 1970 it was there that Chris completed high school and then moved on to Dalhousie.
Chris spent his early life working at Goldbergs and Simpsons in Dartmouth, then heading west to Regina, SK in 1979 to carry on with Simpsons. In 1980 he joined the Regina City Transit team and retired from there in 2010.
Some of his interests over the years were playing pool, chess, soccer, cricket and tennis. He also enjoyed watching soccer, wrestling, and boxing on tv. He also followed his favourite NHL team the Boston Bruins.
He will remain in our hearts and will always be missed.
