Alice Belva Park (nee Dauncey) passed away on November 30, 2014. Belva was born on September 28, 1919 at the Moosomin General Hospital in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband, of 66 years, George Park, her parents Mossom and Alice Dauncey, George’s parents James and Jessie Park, as well as brothers; Herb Dauncey and his wife Dorothy, Nelson Dauncey and his wife Mabel, and Sidney Dauncey. She was also predeceased by brothers in law; Lloyd Higgins and John Park and his wife Ida. She is survived by her children; Jim and Jane Park, Bill Park and Kirsten Nash and Lorelee and Dick Weir as well as seven grandchildren; Amy Gillert, Michael Park (Amanda), Samuel Park (Brittanie), William Park, Andy Weir, Austin Nash Park and Jesse Park.; six great grandchildren; Azra Park, Nika Park, Osias Park, Parker Gillert, Alice Park and Charlie Park . She also leaves sister, Phyllis Higgins and sister in law Shirley Reid as well has many nieces and nephews. Belva worked for many years, at a number of hospitals, as a Registered Nurse before returning to school and earning her Registered Medical Librarian designation. She retired after many years as the medical librarian at the Regina General Hospital and worked with George in their successful Rawleigh/ Golden Pride business, retiring from that venture at 92 years young. She was a very strong, generous, compassionate lady who was adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and made and kept countless friends. Belva resided at Broadway Terrace since it opened and embraced the lifestyle it affords. A funeral service will be held for family and Broadway Terrace residents with an interment at a later date.
