Jarek Moroni Jorgensen was born March 14, 1998, at Providence Hospital in Seattle, WA. He died on July 27th, 2020. He was 22 years old and larger than life. At age 8 in May of 2006, he was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held the Aaronic Priesthood and held the office of a Priest. He became a father on March 17, 2020.
He was full of life and love. He loved his family and friends deeply. Throughout his life, he was always quick to rescue others even when it cost him. He was valiant and loyal to his friends until the end. He was a spiritual man and his love for God was often poignant, but he chose to worship in his own way. He often led his family in prayer and scripture study and he was often first in line to serve others. He was close with his extended family that number in the dozens. He had a passion and a gift for music. He spent most of his money on family, friends, food, fashion, and fun. He never wanted the party to stop; he called out from work so much invariably to spend more time with family and friends. He recently began saving money in earnest. He finally got a car he could be pleased with and was saving money for his son Tyrael whom he loved with his whole heart.
He is survived by his parents Bryan and Lisa; his siblings, Orion and Czjaka; and his son Tyrael.
Jarek will be interred at Cedar Hills Memorial Park in Redmond, Washington.
Birth and Death are the same gift from the same gift-giver:
“Perhaps the joy they felt that day at my birth was to be inextricably, inseparably, eternally linked with my sorrow at their passing—that we could never expect to have the one without the other. It came to me in a profound way that in this life no one can have real love without eventually dealing with real loss, and we certainly can’t rejoice over one’s birth and the joy of living unless we are prepared to understand and accommodate and accept with some grace the inevitability—including the untimeliness—of difficulty and trouble and death. These are God’s gifts to us—birth and life and death and salvation, the whole divine experience in all its richness and complexity.” Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16)
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die" (John 11:25–26)
