Stephen Patrick Duff

Stephen Patrick Duff was born October 1, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Donald Patrick and Karen Daneen Duff. He was one of three children. Stephen passed away on Sunday September 16, 2018, in his Holly, Michigan home at the age of 47.

Stephen was the beloved brother of Russell Warren (Karleen) Duff and Linda Marie Duff. He was also the fun-loving uncle of Shannon Duff and Scott Duff. Stephen was surrounded by many cousins and friends. He will also be missed by his loyal companion "Fritz" the cat.

Stephen was very active, athletic and also had a brilliant mind. He played hockey while attending Lawrence Tech and after graduation made his living as an Engineer for the Marposs Corporation.

In his leisure time, Stephen enjoyed fishing, grilling and spending time up north at the cottage in Lake Leelanau, Michigan. His family describes him as amazingly funny. He had an intelligent dry sense of humor; He could keep a joke going because he wouldn't crack a smile and give it away. Stephen will be missed by all who knew and loved his laugh, his smile and his kind heart.

Stephen's family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Friday, October 5, 2018 beginning at 1:00pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Road, Redford Township, Michigan 48239 (Just east of Beech Daly) The evening will conclude with an opportunity to share stories and memories beginning at 6:30pm. Immediately following the conclusion of the eulogies, the celebration of Stephen's life will continue with a dinner and cash bar at an area restaurant. Location will be provided during the gathering.

A MESSAGE FROM STEPHEN'S SIBLINGS:

Dinner will be just how our brother would want it.. So that being said, we will have a summer Barbecue theme and will grill burgers, chicken and have summer sides dishes, all grilled outdoors on the patio overlooking the beautiful golf course!! We hope to see everyone there to come together for a "Celebration of Steve's life"! We will have a big screen scrolling with pics and memories to share! All over looking a beautiful Golf course and a patio to enjoy each others company!
