Lane S. Thomas

Lane Stuart Thomas was born in Southgate, California to Earl and Mary Ann Thomas on December 19, 1943. He was one of 5 children. Lane passed away in Farmington Hills, Michigan, on January 15, 2016 at the age of 72.

Lane was the beloved brother of Anita Smith, Mary Ann (Ron) Woodrow, Buzz (Laura) Thomas, and Mark Thomas. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Lane will also be missed by many dear friends.

Lane retired as a Millwright in the manufacturing industry after many successful years. He enjoyed golf, handball and watching The Detroit Tiger's play ball. However, most of all, Lane enjoyed his friends. Some will say that Lane considered his friends to be his "real family", he was still close with friends and teachers from high school. Lane graduated from Visitation High School in Highland Park, Michigan in 1962. "Go Eagles!"

Please join the family for a Visitation on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2-8pm with a Funeral Service to celebrate his life at 7:00pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Road, (Between Telegraph and Beech Daly Roads) Redford, Michigan 48239. The Service will be led by Reverend Dayton Gnau.
