Sue Phillips, born Willie Sue Hughes in Florence, Alabama to Highe and Mary Hughes on May 2, 1932 passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Red Bluff, California with her family at her side. Sue was born and raised in Alabama, the youngest of seven children and she was the last surviving of them. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Oakley Heathcock and her first born child Michael Roy Liles, she is survived by her husband Wesley A. Phillips of Redding, California, daughter Connie Elger (John) of Shasta Lake, California, sons Jim Heathcock (Lori) of Redding, California, Billy Ray Heathcock (Terri) of Weaverville, California and Douglas Heathcock (Tina) of Red Bluff, California and 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding, California on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:00am with a reception immediate following.
