Myrna Darlene Barnes, Age 72, passed away on Monday, June, 21, 2010 at Windsor Care Center in Redding, CA. She was born on March 14, 1938 in Albert City, Iowa to Andrew and Geraldine Anderson. She was baptized in
1938 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albert City, Iowa.
Myrna graduated from Albert City High School in 1956 and attended and further continued her educationat Buena Vists University in Storm Lake, Iowa where she graduated.Myrna was married on August 10,1958 to Glen Barnes of Fort Dodge,
Iowa. She is survived by her husband, Glen, son, Terry and wife ,Robbe,daughter, Michelle and husband, Bret, brother Carl sister, Christine & husband, Denny.She had numerous nieces and nephews across the country. Myrna was preceded
in death by her parents, Geraldine and Andrew Anderson, father-in-law, Raymod Barnes and mother-in-law, Pansy Kirkpatrick.
Having been an elementary school teacher for 20 years, she was proud to raise there two children while teaching and made an impact on many young lives in the community. Myrna joined her husband, Glen in the Insurance industry in the
early 80's in Sioux City, Iowa. She was the recipient of numerous sales awards for her achievements in financial services.
Myrna and Glen moved to California in 1987 after their daughter Michelle graduated from High School to join their son, Terry who had relocated to Sacramento in 1986. She continued her love for teaching while working local eye professionals as a vision therapist for children with learning and reading disorders. Before retiring, Myrna worked for Dr. Steven Goedert at Shasta Professional Eye Care in Redding, California.
A memorial service will be held at Lawncrest Chapel on E. Cypress Ave.in Redding, CA on July 1, 2010 @ 1:00pm. The service will be officiated by Pastor, Guy Ascherman of Redding Christian Fellowship. Arrangements under the

Myrna will be missed by many and we celebrate her life of eternity from this day forward. We love you very much! Surely God Will Say:"Well Done My Faithful Servant”
