I am hoping the fishing is great where you are. I wanted to reach out to the family, I have some letters from Mike when he was in the service about everyday life. The service was a guiding light for Mike.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My sons lost their father at a young age as well, and I know how difficult it is. 
I knew your dad in high school. He was Waaaay out of my league. He was soooo good looking and always had the most amazing cars. My girlfriends and I would drive to the parks and watch him play baseball. 
We reconnected a couple years ago via Facebook. He was amazing. We would talk for hours and he wanted me to come fishing with him on his boat. I promised I would when the timing was right, but I did promise I would come see him this summer. 
He made me six spectacular knives. I gave one to my husband and all the male members of his family. Your dad made me a beautiful piece of jewelry as a gift and showed me the “Michelle” sign he made to give to her for her birthday last year. 

Mike has been on my mind lately.  Since we saw him at Tony Orsini s celebration of life. So many great memories, he was like a brother to use. I pray he will be joined with Tony in Heaven. Gail Orsini Martin. Huggs for this family

Mike was a Great friend and very kind man. He above all loved his son. He was very kind and would do anything for his friends. He flew out from bootcamp to take me prom. Mike was a loyal and generous friend and will be missed.

To the Matous family I am sorry to hear of Mike's death.  I wish some how you find peace .  Mike was always full of life, quick witted, funny and a true friend.  We enjoyed some good times together at EHS.

Mike was one of the kindest classmates at Junction Elementary and Enterprise High School. He always had smile on his face, such a friendly kind spirit. RIP Mike 🙏🏻


One of the things I remember most about Mike, he loved his baseball. Almost as much as he loved fishing. He was definitely a sweetheart, and will be missed deeply. I shared this with the class the other day, knowing that we had lost him. I just thought I would share it here.  Mike is standing next to Mr. Lefler.
