Michael Lee Spaeth

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am, June 9, 2014 at Word of Life Assembly of God, Cory Yate will be officiating.

Burial conducted with honors by US Navy off the coast of San Diego.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel a Dignity facilityl in Redding.

Michael was born in San Diego on October 7, 1947. He graduated from Monte Vista High in San Diego and continued to receive college credit hours all his life.

Michael was married to Patti Ann on October 16, 1970; divorcing some years later. He remarried on August 12, 1993 to Kay his life partner until her death in 2012.

Michael worked as a Boiler man third class for the US Navy from April 1, 1969 until March 31, 1975. He worked as a Millwright Electrician for Sierra Pacific until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, and reading Louis L’amour western novels. He was also actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), helping many in our area.

Michael is survived by his brother Roy Spaeth, children Josh, Shawn, Gary and Lisa, many grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Roy Carl George Senior, his mother Ester E. Young and his brother Sam William.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Word of Life Assembly of God, in care of Pastor Cory Yake located at: 37341 State Highway 299 Burney, CA 96013. The family of Michael Lee Spaeth wishes to thank Dignity Chapel and Mountain Riders Club MeRCy. .
