I only went to Wheatland High my Freshman year 1974-75 but Miss R. was  
my coach for field hockey and basketball.  She took an inexperienced but passionate for sports young girl and taught her everything she could.  My days at Wheatland jump started my love for PE and Miss R. and Miss Harrison are why I am teaching PE today.  She will be missed.

Wow, my sincere condolences to the family. Ms. Robinson, well not a particular incident just the fact of the person Ms. Robinson was very good phys ed instructor not to mention well respected. She delivered respect and in return she got respect. I NEVER heard an unkind word EVER spoken of Ms. Robinson. From all of us that had the pleasure and opportunity to know her R.I.P

Marlene was our Friend in this world. She loved Her students, her friends, Wheatland High, Life, and God.  She committed her whole self to everything and every task once she started--her years of coaching, whether on the field, the courts, the classroom, or just Life; her dear parents; her music; her wonderful little dogs, the last one for which she gave up an easier living situation because the little guy couldn't adapt; her Faith; her camera and wonderful scrapbooking; her helping so very many seniors in Redding when she retired. 

She was my friend, and I love and miss her goodness in this world. God, you must have needed an angel to coach Your basketball team!  Rest in His heavenly arms, Dear One. 

She was my P.E. teacher for most of my high school years. She was always pleasant, kind and inspiring. She had a special talent for making you feel like you could succeed at any sports. She was a wonderful teacher who will be remembered fondly and missed dearly. 

My sincere condolences to her family.  Ms Robinson is the kind of teacher who made a huge positive impact on everyone. She genuinely cared about each and every one of us students. She was my PE and field hockey coach at Wheatland High, but also my encourager and advisor. She taught me so much about sports, but what she truly taught me has stayed with me throughout life: Always do my best. Even if I fail at something the first time around, as long as I’ve given it my best, it’s all good.” RIP Coachess R and thank you for helping to shape me. I turned out ok! 

I remember Marlene as a pleasant, friendly and compassionate co-worker who was truly dedicated to the welfare of her students.  Miss R’s sincere concern for her pupils was always foremost in her thoughts and actions.
May the heavenly band strike up a joyful tune in welcoming this newest angel into its chorus.

First my condolences to Ms. Robinson’s family.  She was a wonderful person and a great physical education teacher.  She taught four out of the five Holley girls.  She never called us by our first names and always by our last because she knew she would never mess over our names!  Heaven has gained an exceptional new member you will be missed. Until we meet again.

Heaven has gained an amazing Angel.. I will forever remember you as the best PE teacher.. deepest condolences.. 

I think of you often! You were the best P.E. and field hockey coach!  You made a very big imprint on my furture!  Rest in peace!

Thanks for coaching me to persist at the typewriter... 55 words per minute with only three errors in a five-minute span. And, thanks for encouraging all of us young Pirates to do our best in everything we tried. Blessings to all those you loved.

I attended WUHS from 1967-1970. Ms. Robinson was the Girls ‘ P.E. ‘Coachess’, as Wendy reminded us, and our Leadership Advisor.  She was a teacher in the purest sense, always going that extra bit to pull the best out of each of us.  She taught us, she laughed with us, and she cared deeply for us.  
My deepest condolences to her family. She is missed.

I'll always remember Ms Robinson!  I was in her class that ran the student store at WHS.  I remember her taking us on field trips to Sac to buy business books.  And having an end of the year party at her house.  Sending love to her family.

Ms. R was my teacher and my field hockey coach.  She was an amazing woman who only thought of her students.  Tell you from experience she always had your back and she was very kind and loving. She will be truly missed. Love you always.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones and those of us who were so wonderfully mentored by Ms. Robinson.  50 years ago, Ms. R signed our yearbooks with encouraging words as “Coachess R” and “Robbie” at Wheatland Union High School where she taught PE and was our much-admired Advisor.   She will always remain in our cherished memories ♥️ 

I knew Marlene when she taught P.E. and later business subjects at Wheatland High School.  She was very passionate about her students and loved her teaching career.  Although I haven't seen her for some time, I know that Redding was her favorite place to live.  She will be missed.
