Marilyn Anne (Fauss) Grove born in San Francisco May 17, 1933 to Frank and Helen (Cooney) Fauss. She grew up in the Mission District of the city and lived and grew up in her grandparents home, Gustav and Anne (Fahy) Fauss. She would often talk about visiting her Grandma Cooney who lived on the ocean side of the city by the Cliff House, riding on the cable cars which was her main source of transportation around the city which she loved. She was blessed with a brother, Dennis Fauss and sister Maureen (Fauss) McClain. She loved going to the Russian River, a little more than an hours drive; a winding road that she said always made her car sick. She enjoyed and loved spending time with her her parents, grandparents, brother, sister, aunts, uncles and cousins camping and swimming.
She attended Catholic school and graduated in 1951 form Notre Dame High School. Some of her favorite memories was going to the Irish dances where she met the love of her life, Rodney (Bud) C. Grove (deceased).
They were married at Mission Dolores in 1953 and started a family and was blessed with Anne (Grove) Emard, Tim Grove, Pat Grove, Tom Grove (deceased), Judy (Grove) Cayton, Barry Grove (deceased) and John Grove. They moved to Colorado for 11 years and then back to Concord, CA for a few years then moved to Auburn, CA to raise their 7 children. Our Mom was busy raising kids and taking care of the many chores of living on a farm. She was involved in church activities, the New Comers Club, Women's Aglow and enjoyed playing the piano/ organ. She and our Dad enjoyed square dancing with the Jeans and Queens. Once the children were grown and out of the house they sold their ranch in Auburn to buy an RV and traveled as snow birds with many adventures along the way. After 13 years they settled in Redding, CA where our dad built their house with a swimming pool that our mother loved spending many hours swimming to her hearts content.
Mom loved all things that showed bright and beautiful bling such as gold, furs, and leopard print patterns, she loved all things Irish, her Irish roots, Irish music and movies which made her smile and laugh joyously. She loved San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge and loved visiting the city and visiting the city and ler family that lived there, which brought her back to her childhood. We loved listening to her tell us stories and adventures of her growing up in her favorite city. Most of all she loved being surrounded by angels she collected in her home.
Marilyn faithfully loved the Lord Jesus Christ, She joyfully and lovingly served her family and loved having them around her. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons.
Marilyn was lovingly surrounded by her family when she passed away from congestive heart failure and pneumonia at the age of 90 in Redding, CA. (Mercy hospital)
Although we miss our Beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Cousin, we are comforted in knowing that she is dancing on the streets that are golden in Heaven with her beloved savior JESUS and is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
John 14: 1-3
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
