Margaret Louise Jones

Margaret was preceeded in death by her husband Glenn and son David.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Kent (Jack) of Yorba Linda, California; Daughter Patty of Spokane, Washington; son Paul (Nancy) of Anderson, California; Daughter-In-Law Jonie Jones (wife of David) of Grover Beach, California; 4 grandchildren; Deanne Foley, Bailey Gumm, Paul (PJ) Jones and Brynna Jones. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Clayton, Madelyn, Ryan, Grace, Dalton and Ellie.

Margaret was a homemaker and a bookkeepeer for her husband Glenn's trucking business and also sold Avon. She was born June 23, 1931 in Indio, California to Edwin Perry Matthews and Vera Mae Matthews. She was the eldest of her siblings Chuck and Barbara. Her family moved to Gig Harbor Washington in 1939 where her father owned and operated an auto repair shop. They lived close to a military base there around the time of World War II. She remembered her mother and father inviting young men from the base home to have dinner with their family. In 1943 the family moved to Los Angeles where her mother worked in a restaurant.

Margaret married Glenn Jones on April 11, 1953. They lived in Buena Park, California and had 3 children: David, Patricia and Paul. In 1964, Glenn and Margaret moved to Northern California where they would spend the rest of their lives. Margaret was very much loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
