Dean is survived by his Wife, Joyce, of Redding; his children: Valerie, of Roseburg, OR; Alan, of Redding; and Dan, of Cottage Grove, OR; seven grandchildren: and two great grandchildren.
Dean was born in 1937 in Salem, OR to Ezra and Elizabeth Kuebler. He graduated from Lauralwood Academy in Gaston Oregon in 1956. After graduating, Dean began working for Fisher Flour Mills as a sales rep. He married Joyce, his “high school Sweetheart”, in 1958. He was drafted into the Army in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1962. In 1974 he and his wife sold their commercial fishing boat and founded Kuebler’s Furniture in Crescent City, Ca. Under his guidance the company grew to have five locations in California and Oregon. His wife and children remember him as a loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and gave them his full support.
Dean was an accomplished fisherman and often spent the day on Shasta Lake either alone or with a friend hitting his limit on bass. He was also an accomplished gardener, growing multitudes of fresh vegetables for his family and friends. He was a generous individual who loved his family and who was passionate about his belief in God. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and never stopped in his studies of the Bible and God’s design.
A service is scheduled at The Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, Dean’s nephew, Greg Griffith, will officiate the ceremony, and an Army Honor Guard will perform the flag ceremony and three-gun salute. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: The Northern California Veterans Cemetery at P. O Box 177 Redding Ca 96099-0177. The family would like to thank their friends for their loving thoughts and prayers.
