Louise was born a twin on March 15th, 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska to Alfred and Mary Walter. Her parents, along with her older brother Frank and twin sister Marilyn passed on before her.
Louise Walter graduated Central High in Omaha. A year later she married Clarence (Sully) Sullivan and moved to Niagara Falls, New York where Sully was stationed in the Coast Guard. It was there Linda was born. Soon afterwards Louise and Sully moved to rural Northern California where Louise gave birth to Diane and later Karen. After Sully's CHP training in Sacramento the now family of five moved to Barstow where Steven was born.
In 1966, Louise's now complete family moved to Redding. Louise re-entered the workforce in her mid 30s as a unit secretary at Redding Mercy Hospital. She later completed her nursing degree at Shasta College. Louise worked for Mercy hospitals in Redding and in the Sacramento area throughout her career, retiring from Mercy Folsom.
Following retirement, Louise moved back to Redding. She enjoyed travel, visiting several countries such as Mexico, Fiji, The Bahamas, and Solomon Islands. Louise especially enjoyed her many trips covering all of the Hawaiian Islands. She went on several cruises which she thoroughly enjoyed. She worked part time for a several years running the medical clinic at the Good News Rescue Mission in Redding. Louise watched a lot of TV, conquered many crossword puzzles, enjoyed family gatherings, church, lunches out, and playing games with her friends.
Louise spent the last few years in a Carmichael nursing home. This time she was the patient. And she wasn't always a patient patient. She kept the nursing staff on their toes. And they loved her. Louise passed peacefully as she was quite ready for Heaven. She was after all 90 years on this earth. Louise commented more than once she couldn't believe she lived this long and wondered why she was still here. While sad for us, she now lives in the eternal presence of a loving Father, incredible Savior, and joyful Holy Spirit. Furthermore, she has an angelic choir to enjoy and mansion created just for her. Can't get better than that.
Louise's legacy includes four children, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
