Li Tse Mei Yee

In loving memory of Li Tse Mei Yee who passed away on July 15, 2018. She is survived by her children Dorothy, Marjorie, Wee, Vickie, Johnny and Donny. Nine grandchildren Derrick, Tiffany, Christopher, Cynthia, Lorrie, Ryan, Kelli, Kimberly and Christine.Two great grandchildren, Leilani, Mikaela.

Mei married Wee Ley Yee in 1947. She immigrated from China in 1948 and lived in Red Bluff for several years before moving to Redding. Mei and her husband, Wee Ley (who has passed away in 2005) opened the Lucky Chop Suey on California Street in 1952. They moved to Pine Street to open Far East Cafe and moved the Far East Cafe to Hilltop Drive where they retired in 2004.

Mei’s favorite pastime was fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed.
