Lawrence "Larry" Rossiter

Lawrence G. "Larry" Rossiter, longtime resident of Redding, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital in Redding. Larry was born on June 25, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to Lawrence and Hazel Rossiter. Larry was a past member of the River View Golf Club in Redding and the Rising River Rod and Gun Club. He was a life long Dodger fan, he loved baseball and anything associated with it. Larry enjoyed fishing, golfing and other outdoor activities. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge #1073 in Redding. Above all, Larry was the most wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Rossiter; three sons, Mike Rossiter and his wife, Sally, Tim Rossiter, Gary Rossiter and his wife, Monica; sister, Marie Coyle and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Ron Rossiter and his wife, Julia, Katie Rossiter-Wood and her husband Aaron, Charlie Rossiter and his wife, Jessie, Rella, Cooper Rossiter and his wife, Morgan, Patrick Rossiter and Justin Rossiter; eight great grandchildren and one on the way.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 1:00 pm at McDonald's Chapel in Redding. Please make any memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
