Laura was born October 1, 1929 to Marlow and Sybil Geroy in Hilt, CA where her father worked in the lumber industry. She was one of seven children. After high school, Laura worked at the Golden Bird Cafe in Redding where she met the love of her life William Johnson. Laura and William were married in 1946 and had two children, Ronnie and Darlene. Laura and William raised their children in Anderson where they enjoyed camping and fishing all over Northern California. Laura worked for Ralph L. Smith's Lumber Company for over 15 years. After retirement, Laura spent her time traveling and gardening; she loved her flowers. Laura lost her husband William in 1996. She then spent her time playing Pinochle (which she loved) with her new found friends at the Anderson Senior Center.
Laura's family and friends will always remember her as a person who was very loving, caring and generous. She was the kind of person who would always help those in need. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Laura leaves behind a family who loves her and will miss her very much!
