Gerald Lee Owens, 78, resident of Redding died Nov. 15, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. He was survived by wife, Muriel of 58 years, daughters Elizabeth and Erica and his grand daughter Molly. 6 more grand children and 14 great grand children.
Jerry was born to Everett & Lena Owens in Modesto, Ca., Jan. 19, 1940. He joined the Army at 17 years old and was stationed in S.D. He married Muriel in 1960 while living in San Jose, they moved to Trinity Center in 1974 and opened Trinity Bass Center and was a fishing guide on Trinity Lake they later moved to Redding where he retired from Sysco Foods where he was a successful food salesman. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved sports. He loved golfing and worked out 3 days a week no matter what. He will be truly missed.
Funeral and burial will be Dec. 12 at 1 pm at Redding Memorial Park on Continental St. In Redding.
