Georgia was born to Marion Fredrickson Brown and Edwin Milton Brown September 16, 1945; she was a second generation native Californian. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernie Rode, one brother Eddy Brown and a niece Debbie Brown Meza.
Georgia is survived by her two sons, Todd and Brett Rode and her precious granddaughter Samantha Ann Rode of Redding. Two brothers Richard Brown, his wife Linda, Raymond Brown, his wife Carol. One cousin Kathy Allen and her husband Tom, children Ryan and Robin. Nieces Tami, Heather, Liza, and nephews Keith, Ray and Rick Brown. And Georgia's very dear and long time friend Kay Howart of Redding, CA.
Georgia was dearly loved by all who knew her. She loved her family and adored her beautiful granddaughter.
One memory is still vivid in my mind: we were both in the playground at Lankershim Elementary School in North Hollywood. At recess Georgia came to me, her one year older and much wiser cousin, and asked me if she could hold her fingers a certain way, that a boy told her that she could not point using her middle finger like she was doing, it was not nice. I, being so wise and a whole year older, told Georgia that she could point her fingers anyway she wanted. Both of us being so wise now turned to the boy and posed with our middle fingers proudly in the air for the boy to see along with everyone else on the playground, including teachers.
Oh, how we all miss you; forever our sweet Georgia, you are always on our minds.
