The swift attack of cancer on the parotid glands took Edward away from us in three months. Treatment of surgery, chemotherapy or radioactive therapy was not given early enough to save him.
Edward loved his service at the Pacific Tripler Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the Chief Chef and worked well with his team to feed the men and women who were there. His high degree of security enabled him to serve the dignitaries who visited Honolulu.
He was a hard working person - very curious and eager to learn and increase his knowledge on any subject. He loved to tell stories that brought laughter and relaxation to his friends. He was a multi-talented guy.
He was also a superb mechanic. He had knowledge of the automobiles from the first car to the present time. Often, he could figure out the problem and help you fix it.
We will always remember and love his exciting life.
Edward is survived by his wife, Esther Johnson; brother Art Johnson, sister-in-law Tina Johnson, brother Clyde Johnson, sister-in-law Susan; son, Arron Johnson, daughter-in-law Kelly Johnson, grand daughter Daniella Johnson; nieces and nephews.
