Dee Anne Wilson, 77, of Anderson, California passed away on September 17, 2022 with her family by her side. Dee was born to parents Bill and Bernadette Nelson on May 16, 1945 in Redding, California. She was a life-long Shasta County resident and graduated from Shasta High School in 1963. During her high school years, Dee met the love of her life - Wallace “Sonny” Wilson - and they got married June 15, 1963, soon after Dee graduated from high school. Dee & Sonny had many happy years together. Dee is survived by her two children: Alan Wilson, of Anderson, California and Lynn Hill (Ron) of Redding, California. She is also survived by her grandson Trevor Hill. Dee said she only needed one son, one daughter and one grandchild when she believed she got the best of each. Dee also leaves her very best friend and supporter, Lorna Cope. Dee was predeceased by her husband Sonny in 1997. Dee always loved animals, and for the last 25 years, rescued dogs by adopting old, “unadoptable” dogs; the number of dogs saved by Dee is too numerous to count. She gave them a loving home and in turn they gave her immeasurable joy. As the years went on, the dogs she adopted got smaller in size (and more “unadoptable”), but the joy she got remained immeasurable. Dee was an amazing person and genuinely the kindest person one could ever know. She leaves a large community of friends as she was impossible not to love. She touched the heart of everyone she met. She loved her family and friends fiercely and leaves behind only beautiful memories - and no regrets. She accepted people exactly as they are and where they were on their own life journey. Dee loved life and felt every day and everyone she met was a gift. She lived her life by her famous phrase “It’s a good day!”
