I am so sorry for your loss Mark and Teresa. I am your cousin Joel Hessen, son of Ray's sister Marie "Mimi".  You may not remember me but I stayed with your parents during the fall of 1977 while hitchhiking through the western US.  I have wonderful memories of both your mom, Gwen, and your father.  I basically showed up on their doorstep one day and the whole family took me in with such grace and love.  I hope you will allow me to "catch up" with you. I miss you already.  You were my Rock growing up, My strength and adviser when I needed it .  You were one of those unsung Firefighter Heroes always quiet, private and out of the spotlight. Most important tome is that  You will always be my "Daddy".  My consolation is that you are now with Mom in Paradise.  May you rest in Peace and Love with her. Loving you always and forever.
