Maria Amparo Martinez Garcia entered the world on January 5th, 1937, in Santa Juana Michoacán, Mexico, born to Juana Garcia and Julio Martinez. Maria, as the youngest of six siblings – Pedro, Cesario (Chayo), Maria, Consuelo, Rosa, and Francisca (Tia Pachita) – experienced the rustic charm of farm life on their family estate in Santa Juana. In 1954, she wed Maurilio Servin, embarking on a journey that would bless them with 12 children: Reyes, Rafael, Pedro, Rosendo, Valente, Maurilion Jr., Olga, Zenaida, Martha, Nora, Camelia, and Alejandra. Their migration to the United States in 1985 saw Red Bluff and Corning become their new home, witnessing the birth of 50 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, three children Rafael, Rosendo, Martha, and her grandchild Emmanuel. Maria's legacy is one of nurturing love, cooking traditions, and laughter, as she nurtured not just her own children but also many of her grandchildren, with her home always open to family and friends. Her affinity for animals, including a cherished baby deer named Bambie. In her later years, she found solace, joy , piece in the company of each of her children, grandchildren, and babies. Traveling to Santa Juana Michoacán with her son Reyes and visiting her youngest son Servin in Oregon. Her joy was palpable as she witnessed her granddaughter Abigail, affectionately known as "bebe" or chicle (her nickname came from always being stuck to her side even till her last day), graduate from Chico State, and celebrated her granddaughter Melanie's marriage. Maria's legacy lives on through the countless memories she created with each of her children and grandchildren, each cherished nickname reflecting her special bond with each of them. While some knew her as Dona Amparito, to her grandchildren, she will forever be Ama, Mama, Mama Amparito, and Abuela, eternally residing in their hearts. To all who knew and loved her, Thank you.
