Joyce Eileen (Bruner) Hamer, 63, passed away on November 5, 2024 at home in Los Molinos. Joyce was born February 21, 1961 in Red Bluff to Marlowe and Shirley (Reynolds) Bruner. She joined sister Sherry and brother Marlin to complete the family.
Joyce grew up in Woodland and Arbuckle, attending schools in both areas. In 1978, Joyce married Mark Alexander. The couple welcomed daughter Season in 1979. Joyce worked as a waitress in Dunnigan for several years while raising Season. Joyce had several hobbies. She enjoyed making jewelry for her friends and family. She was a rock and crystal hunter, whether locally in Mill Creek or in another state while traveling. Joyce was an avid yard saler in search of everything from the practical to the unique and unusual. Helping people was a passion for her, and she was willing to help anyone with anything they needed. This same compassion showed through with animals, not only were her dogs part of the family, she cared for and fed every stray cat or dog that crossed her path. For about 10 years, Joyce worked as a house cleaner for clients throughout Tehama County. Then, she became the primary caregiver for her brother-in-law over the last 14 years.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Season, son Dane (Remi), granddaughters Sidney and Kayley, grandsons Marcus, Angelo and Asher, two great grandchildren, her sister Sherry, brother Marlin (Anna), nieces Lindsey, Katie, and Autumn, also the Hamer Family that loved her dearly.
