James F. Hawken

James (“Jim”) Francis Hawken died on 11/15/18 in Red Bluff CA at the age of 83. James is survived by his sister, Phyllis Cook and his children: Janet Hawken (granddaughters Breonna & Haley), James E. Hawken (granddaughters Shyanne & Jessica), Leanne Hawken (granddaughter Mila), and Patrick Scott Hawken (grandson Alexander). He is preceded in death by his brother Art Hawken, niece Susan Bartlett, and nephew Robert Cook.

James was born on 2/4/1935 in Sonora CA, to Everett and Isabelle Hawken. He graduated from Sonora Union High School in 1953 and served in the Airforce from 1956-1959. He moved to Red Bluff in 1962 and worked for Diamond International for 20+ years until it closed in 1990. James loved photography, learning about history and traveling. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and attended many graduations, plays, concerts and ceremonies to celebrate the highlights of their lives. A graveside funeral is scheduled for 1:00 pm, December 14, 2018 at Oakhill Cemetery.
